Pocket Scan ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Pocket Scan mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection and your privacy rights when using the App.

2. Privacy by Design

Pocket Scan is built on the principle of privacy-first design. All documents you scan are stored exclusively on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your scanned documents to our servers or any third-party services.

3. Data Collection

Pocket Scan collects minimal data necessary for app functionality:

• Anonymous app usage events such as screen views, scans started, scans completed, paywall views, purchases, and exports
• Basic app and device information such as app version, build number, iOS version, device type, and language settings
• Purchase status needed to unlock and restore Pocket Scan Pro

4. Local Storage

All scanned documents, folders, and associated metadata are stored locally on your device using secure local storage. This data never leaves your device without your explicit action (e.g., when you choose to export, share, or email a document).

5. Third-Party Services

When you explicitly use certain features, you may interact with third-party services:

• Email uses your device's Mail app. Any message or attachment you send is handled by your email provider.
• AirDrop and system share sheets use Apple's device and app sharing tools without routing documents through our servers.
• Printing uses your device's print services or printer apps. We do not store printed documents on our servers.

You maintain full control over when and how these services are used.

6. Analytics

We use anonymous product analytics to understand onboarding, paywalls, purchases, exports, and general app reliability. We do not collect document images, OCR text, filenames, document titles, email contents, or other document content.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the app and your data. Since your documents are stored locally, you have direct control over their security through your device's built-in security features.

8. Your Rights

Your documents stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them. You can delete Pocket Scan and its local data at any time. Anonymous analytics already processed by our provider are not tied to your document content or identity.

9. Children's Privacy

Pocket Scan is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will take steps to delete the data immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the app. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
