1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, and using the Pocket Scan mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. License and Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the App's source code
  • Use the App for illegal purposes or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or related systems
  • Use the App in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair it

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your device and preventing unauthorized access
  • Backing up your scanned documents to prevent data loss
  • Complying with all applicable laws regarding document scanning and storage
  • Obtaining necessary permissions before scanning sensitive documents

4. Pro Version and Payments

The Pro version is available as a one-time purchase. Payment terms include:

  • Payment processed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
  • One-time payment grants lifetime access to Pro features
  • No refunds except as required by applicable law
  • App store terms and conditions also apply to purchases

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Pocket Scan or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your scanned documents.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pocket Scan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

8. Data and Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your data. Your documents are stored locally on your device, and we do not access them without your explicit consent.

9. Device Compatibility

The App requires compatible iOS or Android devices. We are not responsible for data loss or device damage resulting from the use of the App. Always ensure your device has sufficient storage before scanning documents.

10. Termination

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms.

11. Updates and Modifications

We may update or modify the App or these Terms at any time. Updates to the App will be provided through your device's app store. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updates.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pocket Scan operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
